Educational
Qualification – Aspirants should have passed 12th Standard or equivalent
examination from a recognized Board or University.
Age Limit –
Minimum age is 18 years and maximum age is 27 years as on 1 August 2016. Age
relaxation provided to certain categories as per the government rules.

The Interested and eligible candidates can apply for SSC
CHSL 2016 Exam; the application form will be available online as well as
offline. Online application form will be available at
SSC official website i.e. http://ssconline.nic.in, and those candidates, who
wish to submit the offline application form, can download and take a print out of
application form and fill the same.

Mode of Payment (Online and Offline)
Offline
Application – Application fee is Rs. 100 which can be paid through CRF
stamps, which are available at the post office. Fee is exempted for all female
candidates and reserved category as per the rule laid down by Government of
India.
Online Application
– Application fee is Rs. 100, candidates can pay application fee through
challan at any SBI branch, net banking and any credit/debit cards. (SC/ ST/
Female / PH category aspirants no need to pay any fee).

Selection Procedure
Selection process
includes two steps:
1st Step:
Written Examination will be held which will be Objective Type and carries 200
Marks
2nd Step:
Skill Test will be held for the candidates
who will qualify the written examination.
In Case of Tie
In case, more than one candidate scores equal aggregate
marks, a tie breaker will be applied as follows
a) Marks
scored in written examination.
b) According
to the date of birth, who is senior in the age
c) Alphabetical
order in which first names of the candidates appear.

Pattern and Syllabus
Candidates aspiring for CHSL exam should know the exam
pattern such as marking scheme, type of questions, and exam duration, syllabus.
The pattern of the exam will be as follows:
1. Question
paper of CHSL will have four sections such as:
A. General
Intelligence,
B. English
Language,
C. Quantitative
Aptitude, and
D. General
Awareness / General Knowledge.
2. Each
section will have 50 questions , total makes is 200 questions for 200 marks
3. Duration
of the exam is 2 hours.
4. The
question paper will be objective type.
5. Questions
will be bilingual, i.e. questions will be in English as well as in Hindi for
sections 1, 3 and 4.
6. There
will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Admit Card
Admit cards of CHSL can be downloaded from the respective
regional websites of SSC. Without the admit card aspirants will not be allowed
to enter in the examination hall.
